Insomnia

Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep?  Acupuncture may be able to help with relief from insomnia.  If you're reading this, you most likely know that a lack of quality sleep can have negative affect in many areas of your life.  Acupuncture assists with symptoms ranging from pain to exhaustion, anxiety and depression, that may be associated with lack of quality restful sleep.

Acupuncture has helped many people achieve restful sleep.  According to traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture helps to restore balance between the heart and gallbladder.  Very often patients fall asleep during treatments, and most patients leave feeling more relaxed, less fatigued and centered after one or more sessions of acupuncture treatment for insomnia.

Often times, we recommend a Chinese herbal formula to strengthen the effects of acupuncture, and is specifically tailored to each persons exact pattern diagnosis.  Most commonly, this formula is based on one of the following classical or modern formulas:  tian wang bu xin dan, suan zao ren tang, or zhu run wen dan tang.

Acupuncture for insomnia has patients feeling better and sleeping restfully, and some have found success in a course of acupuncture treatments to ensure they continue to see results.  Many people have decided to continue treatments even after they are sleeping better to take advantage of the many benefits acupuncture helps people achieve for optimal health and vitality.
